Curriculum
The school describes its English curriculum as teaching children how important their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills will be in the real world [1]. Computing is organised into three strands—computer science, information technology and digital literacy—with aims that reflect this distinction [2]. Children who need extra reading support receive daily teaching assistant support, including interventions such as the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised 7+ phonics programme [3]. French lessons focus mainly on speaking and listening, with reading and writing activities in books as well [4].
